1:30-3:00 – BEING A CHANGEMAKER IN YOUR OWN LIFE AND PRACTICE:  CREATING INDIVIDUAL AND COMMUNITY SUPPORT

Now, aware of how others are breaking out of the traditional molds and having identified their own touchstone, the participants break into groups to brainstorm.  They explore how they might to become changemakers in their lives, law practices, and larger society, in alignment with their own values.
Having explored possibilities, we then explore the next step:  what are we willing to actually commit to doing and do?  What do we need to support us? What structures can we put in place as individuals and as a community?

3:00 – 3:15   Break

3:15 – 4:30   THE FIVE-MINUTE FIRST AID KIT

This interactive segment combines a hands-on experiential exercise based on effective methods for stress reduction in psychology and neuroscience.  The session begins with an overview with substantive information and moves on to a creative process.

Participants will apply their substantive knowledge as they create a Five Minute First Aid Kit.  Using art supplies and small items provided, each participant will create a personalized kit to to interrupt stress and shift those bad days to a positive direction. The first aid kit is a tangible take-away, something they can put in their desks as a reminder of the lessons learned and promises made.

4:30 – 5:30 CLOSING RECEPTION
Participants will have celebratory beverages and snacks as they share their creations with the group.
